Boyz II Men - Legacy: Greatest Hits Collection
By Boyz II Men
It's So Hard to Say Goodbye to Yesterday
see related

i think it may be about that time...

about that time to call it quits,
about that time to move on,
about that time for one chapter to close...
and another one to open.
about that time for new things,
new beginnings.
ive held on as long as i can...
but i think its about that time.

i will keep you posted.

i listen to the same playlist every single night while falling asleep/sleeping.
it is a playlist of 103 sweet jams.
it is a playlist i can play on random and let it repeat over and over,
and i never get tired of it.
it is a playlist i made to make a mega set of mix cd's.
that part of the plan hasnt happened yet.
it wasnt intended for me...
but i enjoy it very much.

why do i put this on xanga?
i have no idea.
i just never put anything on here,
and i was thinking about how i listen to the same 103 songs over and over everynight.

"Goodbye Abilene, I leave my everything to the care of the West Texas moon."

well,
it is official.
i am no longer a citizen of the wonderful town known as Abilene,
or the key city,
or lene-town,
or A-town,
or A-BRO-lene.

i drove out of the city limits,
heading south east on hwy 83/84 tonight around 10pm heading towards austin.
we dont officially move here (austin) until after the holidays,
but we are here to find a house
and then to head to san antonio for good ole james b's wedding.

it was weird leaving.
it hadnt,
and still hasnt really set in completely that when i left tonight i was actually LEAVING.
it hit me a bit when i was saying my goodbyes to certain people,
mainly a certain family that has been a huge part of my life since moving to abilene,
and has cared, provided, and done so much for me...as if i were there own kid.
then i had one major moment of nostalgia as i was driving out,
but i still just feel like i left for tour, or for the holidays.

i will miss the place.
i will for sure miss the people there,
or the people that were there that have already moved on themselves.
it was a big part of my life and i have so many wonderful memories.
i know when im older i will look back on my four years in abilene
and they will be some of the best memories of my life...
...some of the ones i refer to as "the good ole days" to my kids/grand kids.(if i ever end up having those)

as of now i am homeless.
i will be heading to my home town of van, texas for the holiday season.
then, hopefully, around the new years be moving into a house in austin for good.

here is to four good years in one A-town,
and to many more in another.

i love you guys and i will miss you...but i will surely see you around.
until then, be safe and take it easy.

love.
josh.
